Parks and Leisure Australia (PLA)

Parks and Leisure Australia is the key professional Association which provides a broad range of services to members of the parks and leisure industry. Membership ranges across staff and management of parks, garden, sports, aquatic, rehabilitation, aged hostels and recreation centres, at local and state government levels, students from tertiary institutions, academics, private consultants, private operators of facilities and many more. Our membership comes from all states of Australia and overseas, our organisation has something to offer all sectors of the industry.

Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA)

The AILA is the peak national organisation representing and harnessing the collective interests of the Australian Landscape Architecture professions and oversees the professional recognition of Registered Landscape Architects. The AILA is the vehicle by which the Landscape Architecture profession is able to raise awareness, initiate and lead engagement with the wider community on issues of strategic importance to the natural and built environment. The AILA provides leadership in the education, professional development and ethical behaviour of members and to influence decision making in response to the evolving knowledge, understanding and requirements of people, natural and built environments.

Australian Institute of Architects

The Australian Institute of Architects is a national body consisting of almost 10,000 members across Australia and overseas. The Institute was formed in 1930 when state architectural Institutes combined to form a unified national association with the following aims:

• To advance architecture
• To maintain the integrity and standing of the profession
• To promote the profession's views nationally and internationally, and
• To encourage the study of architecture

Since then, the Australian Institute of Architects has evolved into a dynamic and progressive national organisation with active programs in many areas relating to the architectural profession. We also provide services to other sectors of the community.
